Biblioburro on PBS

The PBS show POV is telecasting the documentary Biblioburro: the Donkey Library tonight on participating PBS channels, including KAID. The video follows schoolteacher Luis Soriano as he faces steep challenges in bringing literacy opportunities to children in rural Colombia.

The documentary is also available to view online from the POV website.  Luis Soriano’s project has been covered by many news agencies, from the New York Times to Al Jazeera. In 2010, he was chosen as one of CNN’s heroes of the year.
