Hold on to your tinfoil hats…the Library has Fiber!

After working two years to lay the groundwork, the dynamic duo in our IT department, Aaron Pearson and Paul Zimmerman, have completed the connection of all web services in the library to Syringa fiber optic cable.  The Community Library’s internet stations and wifi networks can now handle more traffic than we can legally fit in the building.  Have a yen to see the latest Isaiah Mustafa/Fabio YouTube Duel?  It can be downloaded @ the Community Library on our new blazing fast fiber optic connection, without freezing your wifi neighbor’s Scrabble game!

Many thanks to our IT department, Syringa, and Joe’s Backhoe for bringing it all together and making the changeover so seamlessly (and under deadline!)  To celebrate, Syringa is hosting a free afternoon Barbeque in the Library parking lot and Spin’s Garden tomorrow, July 28th, with burgers, vegie burgers, and dogs.  Family and friends are welcome!
