Roasting chestnuts by the open fire…

Already a little overwhelmed by the commercial holiday cheer?  Our December book order is hitting the shelves now–it’s a perfect time to curl up by the fire with a book, audiobook or dvd  and take a break from the premature festivizing.  Or dust off an old chestnut of a tome from the stacks–R.H. Delderfield, John D. MacDonald, Loren Eiseley or Charles Dickens.  We’ve rolled new books out  on food (Molto Batali, Essential Pepin), philosophy (Incomplete Nature, How Georgia Became O’Keeffe, Future Science) business (The Great Crash Ahead, The Coming Jobs War, Pricing the Future) and writing (Deadline Artists, Higher Gossip).

New fiction in the stacks include works by John Grisham, Michael Connelly, Janet Evanovich, Peter James, Alexander McCall Smith and a persistent Michael Crichton.
