The Language Lab is moving!

Are you interested in beginning to learn or brushing up on a foreign language? We have moved our language learning materials from the AV room in the west wing of the adult library to the Reference Room. Language Lab materials can be checked out just like the materials in the nearby Travel Nook. Ask a librarian for a tour of the languages represented in books, CDs, and on cassette, and visit our Rosetta Stone stations, with more than a dozen possible languages to choose from, including Spanish, French, German, Italian and Mandarin.

Our foreign language literature collection, including books in French, Spanish, German and Swedish, have been temporarily put in storage in advance of a major shift in the collection–the Young Adult collection is scheduled to move into the AV room after our upcoming Moveable Feast Fundraiser this March 11th. The Spanish, French and other literature in other languages are scheduled to be installed in the footprint formerly occupied by the Young Adult collection after the Feast. In the meantime, Spanish literature and AV materials are still available in the cupboard shelves in the AV room–ask a librarian for assistance.
