We are now cataloging and putting covers on brand new fiction and nonfiction releases. New fiction releases include works by both mainstays (Clive Cussler, James Patterson, Randy Wayne White, Dale Brown, Peter Steiner) and newcomers (Elizabeth Percer, C.L. Wendelboe, Enid Shomer, John Brandon and Patricia Harman.)
New Nonfiction ranges from civil rights to poetry to rabbit husbandry in our do-it-yourself self-sufficiency section. We have pre-election punditry by Robert Reich, Jesse Ventura, William Henry Chafe, Robert Skidelsky, Chris Hedges and Mike Lofgren. The new and controversial book by Mark Owen, No Easy Day, is now on the shelves as well. There is new poetry by Natasha Trethewey, and a satiric instructional manual by James May on How to Land an A330 Airbus.
Arriving next week, we also have new books by Michael Chabon, Lee Child, Junot Diaz, Lynn Povich and J.D. Robb. Also, at the end of September, the American Library Association celebrates Banned Book Week September 30th through October 6th. See their website for particular histories about books that other people do not want you to read!
Visit the library this September, and check out a book, banned or unbanned. We have both!
