In observance of the safety of our patrons and staff, and in light of the current continued uncertainty about the fire situation, the Community Library will remain closed on Monday, August 19th. Our thoughts are with our patrons, and we will continue to post updates on social media, including our Facebook page and the librarydenizenk twitter account.
Our broadband internet service will remain operating, and patrons needing wifi can access it from parking areas at the front of the library and the library steps. The Library is not in any imminent danger, but we encourage everyone to observe pre-evacuation and evacuation orders to free up fire personnel to fight fire.
Please hold on to your books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks for the duration, no fines or fees will be assessed on late items. It is best to stay off the roads and out of the way of the firefighters for the time being.
The latest update at the Ketchum Community Center states that a new helo base is operating near the Reinheimer Ranch at the entrance to Ketchum–please do not stop on road in that area, and stay clear of all helicopter activities. The pilots need all the room to maneuver that they can get.
Thank you, we will reopen again as soon as it is possible and prudent. Stay safe out there, everyone!
